Information Technology Officer
Job Title: Information Technology Officer, Motor Vehicle Registration Project
Position Type: Local Contract
Reports to: IT Supervisor, Motor Vehicle Registration Project
Job Purpose: To maintain MVR computer networks, providing technical support, installation and configuration of hardware and software, and solving technical problems as they arise.
Key Duties:
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Respond in a timely manner to IT service issues and requests.
- Providing technical support across the MVR Operations (this may be in person or over the phone)
- Set up user accounts for new users and educate them on log in and resolve issues arising.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all network and computer related issues.
- Integrate security, physical control solutions for all confidential data and systems.
- Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.
- Troubleshoot and repair of hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Identify security gaps and provide relevant solutions in consultation with the Head of IT
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- Enhance office IT system through appropriate upgrades and advise management on required improvements.
- Provide overall IT administrative support.
- Maintain records of software licenses
